Story of Building Rebirth

Motivation

In a quiet corner, a little away from the hustle and bustle of Gangnam-gu, stood an old building owned by Mr. Lee.

To him, this building was not just a simple real estate, but a precious legacy inherited from his father.

As time passed, new buildings rose around, surrounded by modern finishes of glass and concrete, while the value of the old ones faded away.

Mr. Lee Sun-woo made up his mind.

Rebirth of their building as a new symbol of Gangnam-gu.

Trust

There were obstacles to his ambitious plan. Most architects proposed safe designs following the trend.

However, Mr. Lee Sunwoo did not want his building to be just another typical form of building. He believed that the building should be modern, reflecting sculptural elements, and have a unique identity that people can remember.

Collaboration with Lumi Space

In the meantime, I came across Lumi Space lighting design company.

With a history of over 18 years, this company was famous for its creative and innovative lighting designs.

Mr. Lee Sun-woo was convinced that through collaboration with LumiSpace, his building could transform into a work of art with light.

LumiSpace's lighting design

The design team at Lumi Space was responsible for illuminating the building's exterior.

They redefined the building with a combination of its value and modern sensibility, using various visual illusions and patterned LED lighting.

In particular, they developed a permanent lighting exterior material that can harmonize with the surrounding environment on special days, without glare, and can be used as a modern exterior finish.

Rebirth of the building

The construction took several months, and finally the newly born building of Mr. Lee Sun-woo revealed its appearance. On the opening night, this building modernly adorned the night sky of Gangnam-gu, capturing the attention of many people.

Mr. Lee's building transcended a simple structure and became a new landmark in Gangnam-gu.

Influence

The transformation of this building inspired many. Other building owners were also challenged to transform their structures in a unique and meaningful way.
